While the overseas employment position in other countries including Philippines, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Thailand, we are achieving a faster and steady growth in this arena and the same has also resulted in the manifold increases in the remittance by the wage earners from abroad.

We have now over 7 million workers in various countries of which little over 80% alone is in Middle Eastern countries. At this juncture, our country is fortunate to have such a big number working abroad. And the proliferation is likely to continue for at least next decade.

Bangladesh is situated in close proximity to Malaysia as well as to Singapore. It takes about 4 hours flying time from Dhaka to any city in Malaysia as well as to Singapore.
